




Located between the Kamo River and Kiyamachi, Ponto-cho is a narrow stone-paved road leading from Sanjo to Shijo. In Hanamachi, a Japanese geisha district representative of Kyoto, you can feel the history of the capital. It is also a popular tourist spot known for its crowded tea houses and Japanese restaurants. Here in Ponto-cho you can also admire the sight of noryo-yuka (raised platforms on the bank of a river for enjoying the summer cool), which are a symbol of summer in Kyoto. The rice we use is Koshi-Hikari, is sourced from trusted farmers. We've prepared deliciously hearty rice, with firm, clearly separated grains.
